Since January 2023 the ownership structure of the company has changed. 
Spohn + Burkhardt took over the remaining shares from its partners, Lochmann Kabinen (South Tyrol) and the world market leader in tunnel construction, Herrenknecht, and integrated the company KML Kabinen 100% into the Spohn + Burkhardt Group. 
Already at the beginning of 2020, Spohn + Burkhardt acquired 24.5% of the shares, continuing to consequently focus on its strategy as a "system supplier". 

Cab for mining excavator developed with and by Liebherr

Special cabs for the most extreme requirements - the manufacturer KML from Lahr in the Black Forest is one of the technology leaders in this field. The latest development again supports the use in mining and opencast mining. The new mining cab, which was developed in close cooperation with Liebherr, provides Liebherr's excavator operators with a comfortable modern control center. Following MinExpo 2021 in the USA, the Mining Cab will now also be exhibited in Europe during bauma 2022, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, in Munich.

Eyecab - the lightweight among the KML cabins - was adapted and produced for the cutting suction dredgers from the Dutch company Bell. The modular KML standard cabin in a modified form and adapted to the needs of the customer combines design, functionality and ergonomics and at the same time sets new standards in terms of resilience and flexibility. The ideal cabin for controlling a dredger.
